The Historical Museum of Infantry hosts the Antonio Ligabue exhibition,  titled “The Mysteries of a Mind.”  This captivating showcase is dedicated to one of the most brilliant and enigmatic Italian artists of the 20th century. Ligabue was an extraordinary interpreter of inner shadows and the deepest complexities of the mind.

Micol Di Veroli, Dominique Lora, and Vittoria Mainoldi have organized the exhibition chronologically into five distinct areas. Sure, here is the revised text: These areas are Barnyard Animals, Wild Animals, Dogs, Forest Animals, Self-Portraits, Flowers, and Countryside. The exhibition features 64 works, including sculptures, oil paintings, drawings, and points. Notably, it exhibits a single private Italian collection for the first time.

The exhibition thoroughly explores Antonio Ligabue’s artistic history and evolution, offering visitors profound and unprecedented insights into his work. His art is characterized by vivid emotional intensity and is closely tied to his vulnerabilities and feelings.

The exhibition delves into Ligabue’s individual world and presents a compelling visual narrative of his production. In doing so, it frees the artist from the label of “Naïve.” Additionally, it deeply examines his works through the biographical lens of a tormented, original, and creative soul.
